Dr Vodders Manual Lymph Drainage Training: Basic Level

These authentic Dr Vodder’s MLD courses are taught by Deborah Berry – qualified through and licensed to teach by the Dr Vodderschule, Austria. Deborah and the courses are also licensed by and registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA).

Open to people with either a medical background or good quality massage/ aromatherapy qualification, which includes anatomy and physiology, and post qualification work experience your starting point is the Basic course.

Basic level: 40 hours over 5 consecutive days. An introduction to the structure and function of the Lymphatic System and MLD and their importance decongestion, relaxation, pain reduction and immunity. Individual hand movements and sequences are taught which, when applied correctly, can stimulate the rate of lymph flow.

There are no exams on conclusion of this stage, after which you can practice your developing skills on friends & family with a healthy lymphatic system.

Therapy 1 level: 40 hours plus exam day (6 consecutive days). Revision and expansion of the theory and refinement of the basic level movements and sequences. Introduction to “special” techniques to help you use MLD for specific conditions.

An internationally recognised certificate authorising you to use MLD to treat people with a healthy lymphatic system will be awarded on passing the theory and practical exams on conclusion of this level.
