Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnotherapy?

The actual experience of hypnosis is very difficult to describe, being neither asleep nor awake. All hypnotic states are characterised by a tremendously pleasant state of relaxation, an altered state of consciousness into which individuals allow themselves to enter so that desired, beneficial suggestions may be given directly to the unconscious mind. Thus, hypnosis is a natural and effective way of making contact with the inner (unconscious) self, a source of many of our problems as well as a tremendous reservoir of unrecognised potential strength and knowledge—the forgotten assets.

Nobody can ever be hypnotised against their will and, even when hypnotised, an individual can still reject any of the suggestions given if they are not appropriate. Hypnotherapy is completely natural and safe and there are no harmful side effects. When administered by a professionally trained and skilled Hypnotherapist, the benefits are long lasting and often permanent.

Smoking Cessation:

Quit a 20 a day habit and you will save around £2400 per year. Hypnotherapy will give you the tools to become a non smoker for the average price of two weeks worth of smoking enabling you to breather easier, have fresher clothes, hair and breath and brighter skin and also have a positive impact on the health of others around you.

The one session approach to smoking cessation is a rapid and effective method that uses direct suggestion. Unlike other therapies it does not rely on aversion or shock tactics. Instead it focuses on building on the positive aspects of becoming and remaining a non smoker, taking into account the patients day to day smoking benefits. Motivation from the patient proves an important role and this therapy targets that motivation when it is at it’s highest, in the therapy room.

This techniques has proved to have an 80 – 85% success rate across the hypnotherapeutic profession.
