What Is Remedial Massage?

What is Remedial Massage and how can it help me?
Our highly skilled therapists use remedial massage to locate and treat damaged areas of the body and help speed up your body’s natural healing processes. They employ a variety of specialist techniques to manipulate soft tissue by applying differing amounts of pressure, depending upon the problem.
Remedial massage helps to break down adhesions in the soft tissue which can build up due to stress, injury and overuse. These can lead to you experiencing pain, injury and restricted range of movement. The remedial massage increases temperature and blood flow to the affected area, allowing your muscle fibres to loosen and separate, releasing tension from within the muscle, thereby increasing movement, allowing proper function and helping to prevent further injury.
Remedial massage is perfect for:
- Improving joint function
- Improving sports performance
- Increasing general feelings of well-being
- Increasing muscle flexibility
- Preventing injury
- Promoting relaxation
- Relieving pain
- Restoring mobility
- Shortening recovery time
Our therapists treat each client as a new and individual case, using their knowledge and skills to detect damage and tension in your muscles. If you are suffering from any pain or restriction of movement, or if you’re not sure, give us a call and we will be happy to talk you through your options and find the right massage for you.
