Seasonal Affective Disorder, aka Winter Blues

Published on 3rd September 2021

29% of adults in the UK experience symptoms of SADAlthough it's not officially autumn until Wednesday 22 September, the days are already noticeably shorter and there is often a nip in the air. Unfortunately, for many people, this is the start of 6 months of living with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), where it is believed that the lack of sunlight causes a chemical reaction in the brain leading to depression and fatigue, and that doesn't lift until the end of March when the clocks go forwards and the daylight hours increase again.

Therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) can help you get through the dark days by teaching you how to develop strategies and solutions to keep you on track.

Our team of professional Counsellors are here to help you. For more information, or for a free phone call with one of our experienced Counsellors, give us a call on 01457 835491.

In order to help as many people as we can, we have reduced our prices for all our talking therapies from £65 per session, to £48.75 per session, until the end of 2021, so there's no better time to call us!
