Thermal Stone Therapy 

Massage is a perfect way to nurture our bodies and ourselves. Incorporating stones into a treatment can enhance the power of this contact. The ancient healing art of stone therapy using various massage techniques and warm stones, relaxes the body at a deep level and is effective in creating balance and harmony.

Hot Stone Therapy

Special smooth lava stones are heated to a comfortably warm temperature prior to treatment. When applied to the body, the direct heat relaxes muscles much more quickly than with regular massage. The stones can be used in a variety of ways: either by placing them directly on the skin, or by the therapist using the stones in their hand during the massage. Stiff joints benefit from the penetrating heat, making this an excellent choice after exercise or any physical work. Hot stone therapy is also used to help relieve accumulated stress and tension.

A 60-minute session will focus on your back, neck, shoulders and legs to ensure you receive the benefit of the therapeutic heat to address deep-seated tension in these areas.

For a full-body therapy, we recommend a 90-minute session to allow sufficient time for the heat from the stones to transfer and penetrate into the muscles to ensure a really effective, deep level of relaxation in the tissues throughout the whole body.
