I am a Specialist Stroke and Neurological Physiotherapist with over 12 years of physiotherapy experience and an extensive clinical background in neurological rehabilitation.

I have worked extensively within specialist stroke and neurological services, supporting people with a wide range of complex neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorder (FND) and other conditions affecting movement, balance, mobility and independence.

My approach is highly individualised. I look beyond a diagnosis to understand how a neurological condition is affecting a person’s everyday life and focus treatment on meaningful goals, whether that is improving walking, balance, strength, upper-limb function, confidence, independence or participation in family and community life.

Alongside neurological rehabilitation, I have developed additional skills in vestibular rehabilitation, medical acupuncture, hydrotherapy and the management of complex pain and movement problems. I also incorporate newer rehabilitation technologies, including Neubie neuromuscular electrical stimulation, where clinically appropriate.

I am passionate about providing rehabilitation that is evidence-informed but also practical, progressive and centred around the individual. I particularly enjoy working with people with complex presentations and exploring different approaches when conventional rehabilitation alone has not achieved the desired results.

In addition to my clinical work, I work as a Physiotherapy Expert Witness, providing independent physiotherapy opinion and recommendations in complex neurological and rehabilitation cases.

I am HCPC registered and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and remain committed to ongoing professional development to continually expand the treatments and rehabilitation options I can offer my patients.
