At Body and Mind Centre in Tameside, our experienced therapists tailor every sports massage treatment to your individual needs, using proven techniques to reduce muscle tightness, improve flexibility, enhance circulation, and support faster recovery. Every session is designed around your goals, whether you’re preparing for an event, recovering after exercise, or managing the physical demands of work and everyday life.
Whether you’re an athlete, enjoy regular exercise, or simply lead an active lifestyle, our sports massage treatments are designed to help you recover, prevent injury, and feel your best. By improving muscle function, reducing tension, and encouraging better movement, sports massage can help you return to the activities you love with greater comfort, improved mobility, and a reduced risk of future aches and strains.
Regular sports massage is an excellent way to keep your body performing at its best. At Body and Mind Centre, our experienced massage therapists help relieve the stress and tension that naturally builds up in your muscles and soft tissues, keeping them relaxed, healthy, and functioning efficiently. By improving circulation, reducing muscle tightness, and encouraging better flexibility, sports massage supports your body’s natural recovery processes and helps you maintain an active, pain-free lifestyle.
Much like routine car servicing helps prevent costly breakdowns, scheduling a sports massage appointment every 4 to 6 weeks can reduce the risk of injury, help prevent acute pain episodes, support long-term mobility, and keep your recovery on track so you can continue doing the activities you enjoy. Regular treatment also allows your therapist to identify areas of tightness or imbalance before they develop into more significant problems, helping you stay ahead of discomfort rather than reacting to it after it occurs.
- 30 minute treatment is targeted to either the back, neck and shoulders, or the legs, whichever is your preference.
- 60 minutes is our most popular choice and targets the muscle groups where most people carry tension, ie back, neck, shoulders and legs.
- 90 minutes is a whole body massage, including everything in a 60 minute treatment plus massage to the arms and hands.
- 120 minutes is the complete full body massage! There is more time to spend gently working the areas that are the most tense, and ensure that your whole body receives a wonderfully relaxing massage.
