Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is so  much more than a relaxing spa treatment—it’s a therapeutic practice designed to target tension deep within the muscles and connective tissues. Using slow, intentional strokes and firm pressure, this technique works to release chronic tightness, break down adhesions, and restore mobility throughout the body. Whether you’re dealing with stubborn muscle knots, stress-related tension, or long-term pain, deep tissue massage offers a wide range of benefits that support overall health and well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage is one of our most popular therapies and is an excellent maintenance massage. It is similar to Swedish body massage but uses slower, more deliberate massage strokes to reach the deeper muscle layers in the body. The deeper muscles and fascia can be associated with long-term aches and pains and deep tissue massage can help to relieve chronic patterns of pain and tension.

  • 30 minute treatment is targeted to either the back, neck and shoulders, or the legs, whichever is your preference.
  • 60 minutes is our most popular choice and targets the muscle groups where most people carry tension, ie back, neck, shoulders and legs.
  • 90 minutes is a whole body massage, including everything in a 60 minute treatment plus massage to the arms and hands.
  • 120 minutes is the complete full body massage! There is more time to spend gently working the areas that are the most tense, and ensure that your whole body receives a wonderfully relaxing massage.

Testimonials

I love lots of therapy’s at BMTC… but my personal favourite is CBT therapy! CBT pretty much saved me many moons ago when I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety. I’ve since recommended 3 people to do CBT at BMTC, all of which have found it to be life changing!!  But I do love a sports massage!
