Curious About Acupuncture?
If you're curious about acupuncture and wondering if it hurts, the answer is no, it shouldn't be painful when performed by a skilled practitioner. The needles used in acupuncture are very thin. However, some areas of the body may be more sensitive than others.
If it's your first time trying acupuncture, your practitioner will collect your medical history and determine the Chinese Medicine diagnosis. Additionally, your acupuncturist may recommend other treatments, including dietary advice and lifestyle changes, to complement the acupuncture therapy.
During an acupuncture session, fine needles are inserted at specific points on the body depending on the issue being treated. You may feel sensations such as heaviness, energy spreading, or a dull ache around the acupuncture points, but these usually fade during treatment. A session lasts from 60 to 90 minutes, and needles may be left in place for 15 to 45 minutes. Afterward, it's recommended that you rest and drink plenty of water.
Acupuncture can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions, including fatigue, headaches, insomnia, PMT, menopausal symptoms, nausea, constipation, IBS and joint and muscle pain.
The initial session is 90 minutes and costs £70. Follow on sessions are 60 minutes and cost £55.

Testimonials
"Massage with Deb was very relaxing. The room was basic for a treatment space which is why I didnt give the full 5 star rating but couldn't fault the treatment. Would recommend."
