About Me: Following a long-term interest in the ways that our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing can be affected by the food we eat, I completed a three-year course in nutritional therapy at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition from which I graduated in 2004. Prior to becoming a nutritional therapist, I completed a PhD in physiology and then worked in the healthcare industry for eight years. Through this I gained an in-depth understanding of the biochemical processes involved in our bodies' functioning and in the development of disease. I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
