Hazel Stopford, Director
Qualified in Shiatsu, Reflexology and Reiki, I started the Body & Mind Therapy Centre in 2001 following a deep interest in the benefits of physical therapies to improve and maintain health. There have been many changes over the past 15 years in the field of complementary health, including increased recognition from the medical profession and also better regulation on training and continuous professional development for therapists. I believe that everyone can benefit from complementary therapies and aim to keep our fees competitive so that people can choose to look after their health, irrespective of their financial circumstances. The Body & Mind takes an holistic approach to providing quality therapy to individuals and organisations.
Gillian Thomas, Director
Since joining the team here at the Body & Mind Therapy Centre, I have developed a deeper understanding of the need to not only treat one’s body and mind holistically, but also of the impact that one has on the other. It is my aim to help to deliver our growing range of complementary therapies to an increasingly diverse client base, by maintaining professional standards and high levels of excellent customer care. I enjoy using the knowledge and experience I have gained from running previous businesses, to continually improve the services and non-judgemental care we offer to each of our clients; interacting with clients is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

Having previously been a client at Body & Mind following a car accident injury I have a keen interest in alternative therapies and value the importance of taking a holistic approach when caring for the body. As a clients first point of call, I aim to be a friendly and understanding face to greet you to the centre. Running alongside my studio practice as an artist, it has been a pleasure to join such a diverse team and call the Body & Mind Therapy Centre my home.

Having been a client of Body & Mind for a number of years, I have a great interest in holistic therapies and the feeling of wellbeing they produce. I also believe that your experience at the Body & Mind starts the second you walk through the door and so my aim is to make everyone instantly feel welcome and relaxed, ready to begin their chosen therapy.
