Citronella Essential Oil

Citronella Essential Oil has a bright, light, sweet, aroma and blends well with peppermint, juniper and eucalyptus essential oils.  It is commonly applied to the skin and used as an insect repellent or added to candles for outdoor use to repel mosquitoes from the garden.  Care should be taken when applying direct to the skin as irritation can occur, especially on sensitive skin.

Essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin and are usually mixed with a base or carrier oil like sweet almond, grapeseed, jojoba or avocado.  Add a few drops to your bath water, or you can use this oil for a pleasant fragrance in an oil burner or diffuser.
